Camera, ring light & stage
Prompter text on the camera image, mirroring, dimming, ring light, font and layout.
Camera behind the text
The camera chip on the left of the studio bar picks the camera and switches it on. The image sits behind the prompter text, so you look into the lens and still read. Under Inspector → Text → Layout & Mirroring:
- Dimming over the camera (opacity) so the text stays readable.
- Mirror camera, horizontally or vertically, on its own. It changes the preview only, never the recording.
- Mirror text, horizontally or vertically, for teleprompter mirrors.
- Background color and brightness when no camera is running.
Prompter text on/off (⇧⌘T, in the bar at the top right or by key) hides text, reading line, chip and dimming together. That leaves the camera image on its own, and the setting is remembered.
Ring light
With no lamp around, the screen lights you: Inspector → Text → Ring light draws a white ring on the stage (⇧⌘R toggles it).
- Shape: round (circular ring across the shorter side) or square (frame in the stage ratio).
- Size (30 to 250 %), width (10 to 300 pt), brightness.
- Drag it on the stage: unlocked, the ring moves by its band and scales by the handle on the right inner edge, and it may run past the edge. Lock ring light hides the handles, Center it puts it back.
The text inverts only where it lies on the ring. The camera image stays untouched.
Font and layout
Under Inspector → Text → Font & Color: font family, size (20 to 120 pt), color, opacity, line spacing (−50 to +50 pt), text width, independent margins, alignment (left, centered, right, justified). Vertical run or horizontal ticker.
Speed changes with ↑/↓ or on the scroll wheel (Settings → Mouse Wheel). Option + scroll switches between scrolling and speed.
Studio bar
Settings → General → Position: bottom, top, left or right. On the left and right the bar becomes a narrow icon column that moves next to the scripts or Inspector panel. The text does not move with it. State colors: only what is running is solid (prompter text blue, recording red), and devices that are switched on wear a blue ring.
Full screen via the Teleprompter menu or the assigned key.
